The problem is not the maths. It is the paperwork.
An LP in a dozen funds receives around eighty documents a year: capital calls, distribution notices, quarterly reports, annual accounts, tax statements and the occasional amendment to the partnership agreement. An angel with twenty companies receives cap tables, loan agreements and round documents on no schedule at all. And anyone who owns property adds loan statements, leases and rent increases on top.
None of it is hard to understand. All of it has to be typed in somewhere, checked against what was typed before and converted into one reporting currency at the right rate. That work is tedious, easy to get slightly wrong, and it is exactly where the errors in an investor's own numbers come from.
Language models have become very good at reading. We still do not let them do the booking, and we do not think anyone should. So Valued reads, checks and proposes, and the approval stays with you. That division of labour is the heart of the product.
