The same cash flows, looked at from a distance
Every chart is computed from the bookings you approved. Any view opens into the fund, the booking and the document it came from.
- Portfolio, vintage and J-curve views across funds and equity investments
- Expected calls and distributions per quarter, fund by fund
- Concentration by strategy, geography and vintage, from what is recorded on each fund
- Every chart opens into the bookings behind it
What you can look at
- Portfolio
- Committed, paid in, distributed, NAV and unfunded across all funds and equity investments, in the reporting currency. DPI, TVPI and net IRR for the whole.
- By vintage
- The same figures per vintage year, so a 2019 fund is compared with its peers rather than with one that started calling last quarter.
- J-curve
- Cumulative net cash flow over time, per fund and for the portfolio. The shape says where a fund is in its life more honestly than a single multiple.
- By strategy and geography
- Concentration by the strategy and geography recorded on each fund. Nothing is inferred; the classification is yours.
- Calls and distributions over time
- Quarterly cash in and out, actual to date and expected from here, on the same axis.
- Per fund, per company
- Every portfolio view opens into the fund or company it summarises, and from there into the bookings and their documents.
How the expected calls are built
For each fund, Valued takes the remaining commitment, the investment period from the fund terms and the drawdown pace so far, and spreads the remainder over the quarters it is likely to be called in. Distributions are projected from fund age and reported NAV. The portfolio forecast is the sum, and each bar opens into the funds it consists of.
- No black box: the per-fund assumptions are visible and editable
- Override a fund's pace when you know more than its history
- Expected and actual on the same axis, so the forecast is checked every quarter
One page for the quarterly conversation
Committed, paid in, distributed, NAV, unfunded and the multiples, for the portfolio and per fund, as of a date you choose. Exportable to Excel with the cash flows behind every number.
- As-of dates, so last quarter's figures stay last quarter's
- Reporting currency of your choice
- Excel export of the numbers and the cash flows they come from
The charts are only as good as the bookings.
Add a few funds with their history and the views fill themselves. Nothing here needs to be set up separately.
